My mum loved it, and watched the whole thing via Zoom from her room in the nursing home, thank to the lovely staff that set up a laptop for her. Covid has pushed us to set up tools that make our work so much more accessible.
We had a few other firsts, with a choir formed from 25 or so peeps from the studio; with students doing some accompaniment for the first time, and with senior students speaking about their aspirations, as well as providing the welcome to country.
Phil Jack took the most wonderful photos, a sample of which I’ve loaded into the WVMT FB page, as well as sprinkled through this website.
The concert provides strong evidence of the growth of each student, and the maturation of the studio as a whole. And, I think it was pretty entertaining – a concert I’d have liked to watch.
